I'm releasing some more terrains I did a long time ago.
some were pre BV.

Our first terrain is Zinobi. It would work great as
a small colony for your sci fi players or
maybe a far east subhood. Very Small terrain.

This one is called Yinzi another terrain I made
for the far east. This one has 2 beach areas.
Could be used for any main hood though.

I don't remember why I made this one.
I don't know why I named it Arita either.
I think it was practice terrain to learn to make
beaches. Maybe someone will like it.

Last one is called Craggle do to the carve out look
surrounding the lake. No Beach area.

I have alot more terrains to post. Just have to make
previews which are pain to do cause FT messed
up the terrain cheat and looks like it will never
be fixed. *sigh*

 

Sept 22,

 I made an apartment lot for AL.
It's a set of duplexes on a 4x3 lot. I uploaded it
to the Summer of Lull Pak at the N99 Forum pak site.
You can grab it here. It's the last one on the bottom page.

Now I have had a few setbacks these past two weeks.

My LCD monitor on me died without warning.
My husband has loaned me his CRT monitor which
I hate using but it's better then nothing. However
It has taken me nearly two weeks to get use to it
and not feel like my eyes were burning out of it's
sockets. :( I've been using eyedrops because of this
not to mention fall allergies are kicking in.

The color on this monitor is not the same and it's much
darker then my LCD. I am really bummed out about this.
I don't see me able to get replacement anytime soo maybe
Christmas. I hoping Santa brings me a new PC altogether
with a LCD monitor.

Now because of this huge setback updates may be
a little scarce for awhile. I'm really sorry about this
but the eye strain is a bit too much and CRTs make me
a little ill cause of what they throw off.

I've finished the Maxis colors of the Subtle V2 set all but light has
been reimported into SimPE. I tried twice to do it but SimPE keeps
crashing on me. So I may just leave light like it is but I need still
to make defaults, take previews and upload them here.

I did finished the alien recolor before monitor went kaput.
I just need to turn it into a default as well.
I want to get it all up before the end of the month if my
eyes and SimPE will cooperate.

Sept 05,

A simple recolor but it will replace the swampy pond
that comes with Apartment Life so no more pools
of biological waste. Now your sims will have nice clean
looking ponds in their hoods.

It's a backless version of the TSS Elite desk.
It pulls all the original textures. Top was fixed by CTNutmegger so a
huge thank you to Kate for helping me!

I got sooo tried of Maxis' idea of how pregnant women
coordinate their clothing colors. It's like they think pregnant women
loose all sense of style just cause their belly gets rounded. grrr
So in a attempt to give my preggy women some better choices.
Here's a default replacement for all Maxis Maternity wear.

There just simple recolors but I think they look 100% better! lol
The Maxis Black pants with white blouse has subtle changes.
I actually think it's okay but the red shoes had to go!
I also darken the pants to look actually black and not dark grey.
The others are all full recolors.

The pic was taken using a Buyable Maternity Mod from MATY.
So these women are like me...wishing it to be so.
They are not preggers just modeling my new recolors.
This will replace all Maxis Default Maternity clothing.

I'm soo sorry for the lack of updates. I know I said every week
but Real life has been a pita but everything has finally calmed down.
I have been busy though as much as possible on this update.
I've been working hard to finish the rest of the Subtle V2 Skin set.
It's taking longer then I hoped cause of real life and SimPE issues.
I am doing these in SimPE not bodyshop to get the best quality.
If you have a good graphics card I'm sure you will notice the
difference. Standard skin files make in Bodyshop come in DXT 1
and so I have done the entire Subtle V2 in DXT 5 format.
You will notice a big difference mostly where the forehead meets
scalp and on the back of the sim body and their tummy.

This means importing every texture through SimPe using
DDS Tools. Which means copying all textures names in
material definition to paper then finding them in the file
and importing then new texture in DXT 5 format. It's a
tedious process but well worth the quality! I'll have to later
post some differences.

Oh I also noticed that the Dark Skintone was not right. SimPE did
not change my textures to the correct smooth ones so the old version has
some very noticeable pixilation *sigh* It seems to be a path
issue or something. It buggy to say the lease but I have fixed dark
skintones both the nondefault and default with the right textures.
So I will upload the fixed version soon.

So until I finished this rather large skintone set...
